Like any fairytale of mine... there is a beach, lots of sun, and a big boat!!! We spent our first big trip together in the Southern Caribbean. We boarded our cruise ship, "The Adventure of the Seas," on August 19, 2007. We ported from Puerto Rico, which was amazing, and cruised to Aruba. Although we would later realize that Aruba was our least favorite, it was fun to see the sites, especially the downtown scene. Next stop was Curacao; my personal favorite. The beaches were amazing and the water was crystal clear. We went on a semi-submarine excursion and saw a lot of beautiful fish. Then, we arrived in St. Maarten which was such a cool place. We went scuba diving which was a huge fear of mine! The beaches in St. Maarten were absolutely incredible. The whitest sands and the bluest oceans; no lie. See...
Finally, we ported in St. Thomas and Brady tried to barter with some of the locals for a purse for me but these people didn't budge. It was almost more fun seeing him argue with the natives about a purse than lying on the beach (for me at least, Brady loves to sun-bathe). Against our wishes, our cruise ended, and we sailed back to Puerto Rico and stayed in a hotel on the beach for one night; what a honeymoon!!! Finally, we arrived back home and we were all ready moved into our condo in Pleasant Grove. Brady would be starting up school at BYU and I would be going back to work at my salon. I wish we could have been on our cruise forever, but like any fairytale, there has to be a "happily ever after"... back to the real world.
